What is PDR?

PDR is simply short for Paintless Dent Removal – the art of removing dents, dings, creases, large dents, and hail damage from an automobile without the need for repainting or refinishing. There are two main methods of Paintless Dent Removal. The first method involves the technician gaining access behind the dented area, and then using specially designed tools to manipulate the area and remove the dent. The second method is called Glue Pulling. This technique involves using glue tabs and a glue puller. This method is used where access to the dent with bars is difficult or requires excessive trim removal, common places include the roof, the bars along the top and sides of doors and other areas sometimes with restricted access. All methods use a specialist reflector board to see exactly were the tip of our tool is or where to place the glue tab. These methods of dent removal produce an almost invisible repair and sometimes even 100% invisible and never to be seen again.

Most door dings, creases and hail damage do not actually have any paint damage to begin with. A body shop will typically just “fill” the dent in with putty, sand it down smooth, and repaint the panel and sometimes will have to partially paint the adjacent panels to make the paint appear to match. Anytime you paint your car you depreciate its value.

Repair Time…

Repairs take minutes, not days. A typical 5c to quarter size dent will take 30-45 minutes. Instead of being without your car while it’s at a body shop for 3-4 days, you can go to lunch and I’ll have your car finished when you return.

Price…

Pricing is much cheaper than a body shop. Small dings can generally be removed for under $100. Of course, larger dents and hail damage would need to be seen to be estimated but will still come out much cheaper than a body shop.
